Helping Hand closed to in-person instruction on March 16th, 2020 due to the Governors “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order. We provided virtual learning and therapies through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Because of facility restrictions we were unable to provide care for summer 2020.
Helping Hand returned to virtual learning on August 17, 2020 per the Henderson County School Board mandate. October 5th Helping Hand Developmental Center (Edneyville) transitioned to in-person learning. Helping Hand reverted to all virtual again for the month of January due to spike in Covid levels. Both centers Helping Hand Developmental Center (Edneyville) and Helping Hand 2 (Sugarloaf) returned to in-person learning February 1, 2021.
Helping Hand resumed regular in-person learning for the 2021-2022 school year at Edneyville on August 23, 2021 and at Sugarloaf on September 7, 2021
